Good: Afrofest will be back in Queen's Park at least this year. Lineup still to be announced, but it looks like Thomas Mapfumo will be back this year

Bad: CKLN -- Toronto's oldest community radio station -- is off the air, at least for now. And the Trane Studio, the club on Bathurst which is a great supporter of music, musicians and art is struggling through a bureaucratic maze trying to get its liquor license back.  See the posts for more information and for how the community can help each of these valuable Toronto music institutions
